In a world where each day seems more uncertain than the next, now’s not the time to hang up your hat (or smock). It’s time to adapt. When Texas’ largest arts festival, and Fort Worth’s “must-attend” spring event – the MAIN ST. Fort Worth Arts Festival (MAIN ST.) – got postponed due to COVID-19, PAVLOV knew we needed to step up to the plate to help support our client, Downtown Fort Worth, Inc., as well as all of MAIN ST. 2020’s participating artists, entertainers, local restaurants & festival sponsors during these especially difficult times.
In lieu of the in-person festival, PAVLOV helped to brainstorm, produce and execute a “virtual” MAIN ST. event through social media over the course of 7 full days. We worked closely with festival producers, artists and entertainers to gather and share exclusive video footage of behind-the-scenes studio tours, sneak peeks of new or unfinished artwork, “quarantine concerts” from various headlining entertainers, personal messages from MAIN ST. staff and volunteers, food & beverage specials from local restaurants, engaging polls and giveaways, sponsor shout-outs, and much more. In addition, all 203 artists were highlighted with an artwork image, bio, and link to their webpage on the MAIN ST. online artist gallery.
Overall, the virtual MAIN ST. event was a huge success – more than 5,300 people “attended” the Facebook event with another 44,000 reached, 15+ PR placements were garnered, and artists reported an estimated $94,117 in online sales. The event also provided inspiration, joy and creativity for festivalgoers across the country who were (sadly) stuck inside this year.
