Public Relations & Social Media Specialist

Job Description:

  • PAVLOV Agency is seeking a dynamic Public Relations & Social Media Specialist to develop, execute, and manage PR and social media campaigns on behalf of clients. We’re looking for a dedicated team member who is strategic, proactive, and the epitome of “can do.”

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the primary day-to-day client contact, leading and overseeing multiple PR and social media accounts while managing support staff to achieve objectives
  • Develop, execute and manage client PR and social media campaigns
  • Write press releases, articles, blog posts, and other content
  • Pitch media and secure local, regional and national media placements
  • Establish and maintain key media relationships
  • Plan, execute and staff client events
  • Build & implement social media programs on platforms including Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, YouTube, Instagram, and more
  • Create valuable and engaging content across social platforms, including shooting and editing video, and photographing clients’ products, employees and services
  • Create relevant and timely social campaigns/contests to drive meaningful growth and engagement to pages
  • Monitor social conversations and work with clients to manage timely responses
  • Stay current and forward-thinking on new social media tools and platforms, best practices, and use within the competitive landscape

Desired Skills & Experience:

  • Excellent verbal and non-verbal communication skills, the ability to write and edit effectively, and to convey creative ideas in an intelligent manner
  • Excellent follow-through and detail-oriented
  • Superior organization & creative skills
  • Understanding of the media and what “is and isn’t a story,” and the ability to create, develop and execute story angles and pitches
  • Experience in Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, SnapChat, Pinterest and all blogging platforms.
  • Experience strategizing and managing paid social media campaigns across Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and Twitter, developing target audiences, and reporting/presenting data and analytics
  • Technical knowledge and understanding of social platforms, metrics and tracking
  • Experience excelling in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
  • Ability to juggle multiple client engagements at once, while maintaining the highest quality of work at all times
  • Team player with ability to work well in partnership with others as well as independently and own projects
  • Strong sense of ownership, attention to detail, and reputation for delivering high quality work products
  • Other priority attributes include general cognitive ability, innate curiosity, personal initiative, and proven leadership
  • Minimum 2 years related professional experience
  • BS degree in PR, Journalism, Communications, Marketing or related field
  • Photography & videography skills are a plus
